Silhouetted Basin in Abandoned Court
Late spring sunlight falls through thin fog to illuminate the rim of a crumbling stone basin resting in a ruined ceremonial court near Gómez Palacio. The basin stands as a dark silhouette against the bright, hazy sky, its rough, weathered texture defined only by the thin line of light tracing its broken edges. Inside the hollow, a cluster of black, dried leaves lies motionless, contrasting sharply with the pale, diffused glow of the setting sun. The stone surface shows deep cracks and erosion, evidence of long exposure to the elements. Dust hangs in the air, catching the low angle of the light, while the background dissolves into a soft, gray-white haze that blurs the distant walls of the abandoned structure. at the edge is the jagged, uneven lip of the basin cutting against the luminous sky.
