Dry Cracked Fountain in Salta Hacienda Ruin

Golden light spills across the weathered adobe walls of a ruined hacienda near Salta, casting long shadows that stretch toward the center of the courtyard. A dry fountain basin sits cracked and empty, its stone rim chipped by time and wind. Early winter has stripped the nearby cactus of green vibrancy, leaving only pale, thorny stalks that lean against the crumbling archway. Dust motes hang suspended in the warm air, settling on the rough texture of the plaster. The leading lines of the broken arches guide the gaze directly to the parched basin, where the ground has split into deep fissures. One piece of driftwood rests in the center of the dry pit.
