Sea Otter Wrapped in Kelp at Naples Reef

Cold silver dawn light falls through the water, illuminating a sea otter floating on its back. Thick strands of dark green kelp wrap snugly around the otter's torso, holding it in place. The animal's wet fur appears dense and textured against the pale, milky water filled with plankton haze. Behind the otter, the stone architecture of the Centro Storico in Naples rises from the reef edge, its weathered surfaces softened by the distance. Layers of depth recede into the murky blue-green background where the ancient stonework blends with the underwater environment. One bubble rests on the edge of a kelp frond near the otter's paw.
