Red Fly Agaric Mushrooms in Terraced Garden
Vibrant red caps with white spots cluster among pale birch bark and damp soil. Soft, diffused light from heavy overcast skies flattens shadows, revealing the waxy texture of the fungi against the rough, flaking wood. The mushrooms stand in a group near the edge of terraced garden plots, their bright colors against the muted greens and browns of the surrounding earth. Large areas of empty space frame the cluster, isolating them in the turn-of-season landscape. The ground appears moist, suggesting recent rain, while the terraced stone walls recede into the soft background. A drop of water rests on the tip of a white-spotted cap, catching the dull gray light.
