Soft, diffused afternoon light falls through wet air, illuminating a cluster of oyster mushrooms clinging to a weathered log. The fungi appear as dark, layered silhouettes against the bright, hazy sky, their gills faintly visible along the edges where the light catches. Behind the log, terraced garden plots stretch into the distance, showing rows of dormant plants and damp earth typical of a Dutch landscape near The Hague. The ground glistens with recent rain, reflecting the pale sky in shallow puddles between the stone borders. one drop of water rests on the tip of a mushroom cap, catching the last rays of the sun before fading into the evening shadows.
