Parrotfish Grazing on Reef Crevice After Rain

Soft, diffused light falls through the clear water column, illuminating a parrotfish positioned beside a dark reef crevice. The fish displays scales in shifting hues of teal and muted orange as it grazes directly on the rough, textured coral surface. Fine suspended particles glitter throughout the water, catching the late afternoon glow without obscuring the view. The cool season air settles over the surface, visible only through the stillness of the water and the gentle suspension of debris. Behind the fish, the reef structure rises in jagged, shadowed layers, creating a natural enclosure. One grain of sand rests on a coral branch in the immediate foreground, catching a sharp highlight against the darker stone.
