Frogfish Camouflaged on Sponge Behind

Suspended particles glitter like scattered diamond dust in the tropical bright light filtering through the water column near Denpasar. From behind, the frogfish merges seamlessly with the textured orange sponge, its mottled skin mimicking the rough surface with deceptive precision. The creature sits motionless against a vertical coral wall, its fins tucked tight. Beyond the wall, the water shifts into a deep, otherworldly blue that stretches into infinity. Tiny motes drift lazily around the amphibian, catching the midday sun. A faint shadow falls across the sponge's lower ridge, at the base of the subject in the stillness of the rainy season underwater.
