Parrotfish in Sunlight Near Denpasar Reef

Hard coastal glare pierces the clear water near Denpasar, slicing through a sandy channel where a parrotfish glides horizontally. Bright shafts of midday light illuminate the pale sand floor, highlighting scattered debris and the fish's vibrant scales. Bubbles drift upward in thin, shimmering columns against the plankton haze that softens the distant reef crevice. The water holds a luminous quality, casting sharp shadows from the rocky overhangs above. Fine particles of sediment float in the current, catching the light in a suspended dance. A cluster of coral fragments rests on the seabed, anchoring the composition with rough texture against the smooth sand. The fish's movement leaves a faint wake, visible only where the light cuts deepest through the water column.
