Damp stains climb the rough concrete walls of an abandoned tunnel station, marking the passage of time in the damp Kanazawa air. Filing cabinets stand in a cluster near the entrance, their metal surfaces catching the harsh late-afternoon sun. The scene sits among toppled stone columns and wild nettles that have claimed the ground. Dramatic clouds fill the sky above, casting long shadows across the debris. The subject stands silhouetted against the bright light, creating a stark contrast between the dark interior forms and the clear, dry mountain atmosphere. One rusted hinge on the nearest cabinet door catches the final beam of daylight.
