Metallic Green Leaf Beetle on Nettle

A small beetle with iridescent emerald scales rests on the serrated edge of a broad nettle leaf. The surface of the plant shows fine, translucent hairs catching the soft, diffused light of an overcast monsoon noon. Raindrops rest on the leaf veins, distorting the deep green background into a blur of wet foliage. The beetle's shell reflects a cool, metallic sheen against the matte texture of the plant. Wind ripples the surrounding leaves, creating a subtle motion blur in the shallow depth of field. One droplet hangs from the tip of a lower leaf, refracting the gray sky above.
