Water Droplet on Lotus Leaf Near Salt Crystals

One translucent sphere of water rests on the waxy, ribbed surface of a green lotus leaf, positioned at the edge of a rough, crystalline salt rim. Late afternoon light from a northern window strikes the droplet from the side, revealing a distorted, miniature reflection of the indoor space within its curved skin. The salt crystals form a jagged, white border with sharp, angular edges that contrast the organic curve of the leaf. Shadows stretch softly across the muted floor, where the light fades into a cool gray. The leaf rests firmly on the salt, its veins visible through the thin green tissue. The water's surface tension holds the sphere perfectly round against the slope.
