Liverwort on Wet Stone by Waterfall at Sunset

Vivid emerald patches of liverwort cling tightly to a dark, glistening rock face positioned in the immediate foreground. The stone surface reflects the fading orange glow of a midsummer sunset, creating a sharp contrast with the deep greens of the colony. Behind this intimate cluster, a wide valley floor stretches toward the distant San Pedro mountains, lit by the soft, directional light of late afternoon. A powerful waterfall rushes down the rock, sending a fine mist that keeps the moss permanently damp and saturated. The sky above remains a flawless, cloudless blue, transitioning into a pale twilight near the horizon. The low angle emphasizes the texture of the wet stone and the vibrant, carpet-like growth of the plants against the vast, empty landscape.
