King Penguins and Giant Mushrooms at Sahara Sunset

Warm golden light floods a tidal inlet cutting through the Sahara sand, illuminating a colony of king penguins and their brown-down chicks. Towering mushrooms, their caps as wide as umbrellas, erupt from the wet earth beside ordinary driftwood and shells. The penguins stand on the muddy shore, their black and white plumage stark against the orange sky.
