Glowing Ghost Mushroom Near Starlit Harbor

A cluster of ghost mushrooms emits a faint green luminescence against the predawn dark of a Central African Republic harbor. Small oil lanterns dot the distant waterline, their warm yellow flames against the cool starlight overhead. The dry season leaves the ground hard and cracked beneath the fungal caps. Shadows stretch long across the rough wooden planks of the dock where the mushrooms rest. Their translucent edges catch the ambient glow, creating a soft halo around the dark silhouettes. one drop of condensation hangs from the rim of the nearest cap, reflecting the distant lantern light.
