Rain streaks fall steadily against a dense cluster of horsetail plants rising from the muddy riverbank near Riyadh. The early spring light softens the deep greens of the segmented stems, while water droplets rest on the rough, ridged surfaces. A distant glow from the city horizon paints the lower sky in muted oranges and purples, against the dark, wet earth. The scene is anchored by the rigid, vertical lines of the plants standing firm in the saturated soil. Rain creates a shimmering texture on the water surface beside the colony, reflecting the faint urban light. One raindrop slides down a hollow stem toward the mud below.
