Araucaria Tree Amidst Ferns in Kuwait Monsoon

Bright tropical light floods the early afternoon, striking the rough, gray-green bark of an Araucaria tree that stands rooted in a Kuwaiti forest floor. Thick clusters of vibrant green ferns carpet the ground, their fronds whipping violently in the wind. Heavy rain blurs the background layers, creating a soft, receding depth where distant tree trunks fade into a misty haze. The moisture coats the needle-like leaves of the conifer, making them glisten under the intense sun. Dark, wet soil contrasts with the bright, saturated greens of the undergrowth. One fern frond lies bent low against the trunk, its tip dripping water onto the forest floor.
