Deep shadow blankets the dense canopy while a thin rim of pale dawn light outlines the treetops. Below, a dark river snakes through the green expanse, its surface reflecting the steady rain falling from the overcast sky. The wet season saturates the foliage in dark, glossy tones, and water droplets cling to every leaf. In the distance, flat salt ponds and straight causeways cut geometric lines across the landscape, against the organic curves of the forest. The water flows in a continuous, winding path, disappearing into the mist. One reflection of a raindrop shimmers on a broad leaf in the immediate foreground.
