Soft overcast light falls through the canopy, illuminating a woven basket resting on dark, damp soil beside a tractor track. Golden chanterelle mushrooms cluster inside the basket, their vibrant orange caps against the muted browns of the forest floor. Ground fog pools in the low depressions around the roots, creating a hazy layer that softens the edges of the scene. The basket sits low to the ground, suggesting the patient labor of a harvest at the turn of seasons. Tiny droplets of moisture rest on the woven fibers, while the rich, dark earth shows the texture of recent rain. One mushroom cap catches the diffused light, revealing its delicate gills against the shadowed forest floor.
