Predawn darkness blankets the moonlit breakwater near Kigali while thick monsoon mist rests on the ground. A weathered, rotting stump stands in the foreground, its damp bark textured with deep fissures and soft moss. Faint blue-green foxfire glows from the decaying wood, illuminating the immediate area with a cool, ethereal light. Starlight filters weakly through the heavy fog above. The stump rests on wet gravel, its surface glistening with recent rain. The glow creates a small circle of visibility against the surrounding shadows. Tiny droplets of water hang on the rough edges of the wood, catching the faint luminescence. The stump's decay contrasts with the stillness of the misty night.
