Giant Clam Mantle Under Reef Ledge Cebu

Emerald and sapphire folds of a giant clam mantle spread beneath a dark limestone ledge. Sunlight fractures through the surface above, painting shifting bands of bright white and deep teal across the wet, velvety tissue. Tiny plankton particles float in the green water, creating a soft haze that blurs the distant reef wall. The clam rests on a bed of coarse coral rubble, its iridescent edges glowing against the shadowed overhang. Cool season clarity keeps the water sharp near the subject while the background dissolves into muted blues. One ripple pattern distorts the light just above the shell's upper rim.
