Pale blue-green luminescence rests on the decaying wood of a moss-covered stump, illuminating the rough, wet bark beneath a heavy midsummer canopy. A sweeping beam of artificial light cuts through the predawn drizzle, slicing the dark sky overhead and catching individual raindrops mid-fall against the black void. The glow highlights the intricate texture of rotting fibers and damp moss clinging to the stump's surface. Cold, distant shadows stretch across the forest floor, while the wet ground reflects the faint, spectral light. Tiny water beads rest on the edge of a fallen leaf, glowing with the same ethereal hue as the fungal growth.
