Dam Warning Chain on Wet Steps at Sunset

Golden firelight washes over the concrete steps leading down to the spillway chute, illuminating a heavy metal warning chain stretched taut across the wet risers. Mist from the falling water hangs in the air, catching the low sun and creating a shimmering haze around the chain links. The concrete surface glistens with recent rain and spray, reflecting the warm orange glow of the setting sun. Above, the sky transitions from deep blue to soft amber, marking the turn of the seasons. The chain, rusted in patches and dark with moisture, creates a stark horizontal barrier against the vertical drop. Water droplets rest on the links, catching the light like scattered jewels before falling into the churning white foam below.
