Vapor hangs low across a red earth worksite near Trinidad, softening the edges of a towering steel mine headframe. The early morning light diffuses through the mist, turning the damp concrete tracks into dark, reflective ribbons that wind through the puddles. Rust stains streak the vertical girders of the industrial structure, against the pale gray sky. The ground remains saturated, reflecting the muted tones of the steel beams above. A Dutch angle tilt leans the heavy machinery against the horizon, showing the weight of the labor-hardened site. Water droplets rest on the lower crossbeams, catching the faint glow of the rising sun before vanishing into the gray haze.
