Dawn Migration of Spider Crabs on Australian Sea Floor

First light of dawn penetrates the exceptionally clear water, casting a pale, diffused glow across the sandy Australian sea floor. A dense column of spider crabs moves in unison, their long, spindly legs creating a textured carpet of movement. The water remains still, disturbed only by slow-moving surface ripples visible from above. Early autumn light falls through the column, highlighting the translucent quality of the crabs' shells and the fine silt suspended in the current. The scene stretches wide, showing the sheer scale of the migration as the creatures drift over the flat seabed. Fine grains of sand shift under their weight, marking their path through the quiet, drifting water. The edge of the frame reveals the distant, soft horizon where the sea meets the sky.
