Coral Spawning Night Belize Volcanic Reef

A beam of white light slices through the dark ocean water, illuminating a dense cloud of gametes rising from the reef floor. The volcanic rock overhang looms above, its rough, dark surface barely visible against the blackness. Thousands of tiny, glowing spheres drift upward in a thick, suspended column, catching the lighthouse sweep like glittering dust motes. The water around the particles appears slightly murky, filled with organic matter. Shadows stretch long and soft across the seabed, while the rhythmic pulse of the light creates a strobing effect on the floating eggs. The scene ends with a close-up of a single cluster of eggs clinging to a jagged rock fragment.
