The creature's deep crimson body contrasts sharply against the surrounding gloom, while suspended particles glitter like scattered dust motes in the current. Fine textures of the squid's mantle and the delicate membranes between its arms are visible in the dim illumination. The scene sits at eye level, showing the stillness of the turn of seasons in the deep waters off Porto. A faint reflection shimmers on the creature's smooth skin where the light strikes the curve of its head.
