Soft overcast light falls through the water column, illuminating suspended particles that glitter like distant stars around a vampire squid. The creature spreads its webbed arms wide, revealing dark, textured skin that contrasts with the translucent, amber-tinted kelp fronds swaying nearby. Autumn leaves drift through the background, their brown and orange hues muted by the depth. The kelp forest stands tall and dense, creating a natural cathedral of vertical lines. Tiny specks of organic matter float in the current, catching the diffused glow. A cluster of kelp stems bends slightly, their edges sharp against the murky blue backdrop, anchoring the squid in its deep-sea environment.
