Vampire Squid Among Kelp at Mumbai Market
Deep indigo water fills the frame where a vampire squid floats with its webbed arms fully extended. The creature's translucent skin catches faint starlight filtering down from the surface, revealing dark internal organs against the blue void. Surrounding the squid, tall kelp fronds sway gently in slow currents, their brownish-green surfaces marked by small bubbles. The water remains exceptionally clear, allowing a sharp view of the marine animal's delicate texture and the fronds' fibrous edges. Above, the surface ripples create distorted patterns of light that shift across the kelp stems. A small cluster of bubbles rests on the lower right corner of a leaf, suspended in the stillness.
