Giant Isopod on Deep Ocean Floor Near Porto

A giant isopod moves slowly across the dark, sediment-covered seabed in early winter waters near Porto. Low sunlight penetrates the upper layers, striking a distant horizon haze that casts a faint, cool glow into the depths. The creature's segmented, armored exoskeleton reflects this dim illumination, revealing intricate textures and muted browns against the surrounding silt. Fine plankton particles drift in the water, softening the background into a hazy, indistinct void. Shallow depth of field keeps the isopod sharply defined while the ocean floor fades behind it. One shadow stretches from its curved tail across the muddy bottom, marking its path through the stillness.
