Rainy Winter Ruins in Meghalaya Cloisters
Puddles gather on the cracked stone floor of an abandoned telephone exchange, reflecting the distant glow of city lights beginning to emerge through the heavy winter rain. Thick bundles of copper wires drape from the ceiling like dark, leafless vines, hanging low over the wet ground. The space is framed by a broken stone archway, part of the surrounding collapsed cloisters that define the Meghalaya landscape. Rain falls steadily, turning the air into a mist that softens the edges of the crumbling brickwork. Gray water ripples across the floor, distorting the warm orange reflections of the city lights. One rusted metal panel leans against a damp wall, its surface pitted with age and moisture. The wires twist and tangle, creating a dense, organic web against the rigid geometry of the ruined architecture.
