Starlight Through Abandoned Railway Tunnel Ruins

by Akira Harrell

Pale starlight washes over a crumbling railway tunnel entrance, where broken stone columns lie scattered among tall nettles. A faint ground glow illuminates the damp, cool air trapped within the archway. The rough texture of weathered concrete contrasts with the soft, dark silhouettes of vegetation reclaiming the structure. Daylight begins to bleed from the far end of the tunnel, creating a bright focal point against the deep shadows of the near foreground. Moss rests on the lower stones, while the distant opening reveals a soft gradient of morning blue. Beside the threshold, a small fern pushes through a crack in the stone.
