Silhouetted Kingfisher Snatching Fish After Storm

Late afternoon light floods the wetlands near Jalalabad, cutting through the clearing storm clouds to create a bright, hazy backdrop. A kingfisher erupts from the dark water, its body a sharp, dark silhouette against the intense tropical glow. Water droplets hang suspended in the air around the bird, catching the light like scattered diamonds. The fish clamped in the beak reflects a glint of silver before the bird's wings blur upward. Ripples spread outward from the splash zone, distorting the reflection of the sky on the water's surface. The bird's posture is rigid and alert, wings locked mid-flap, capturing a moment of raw, untamed tension frozen in time.
