Pelican Diving into Glacial Stream at Golden Hour

Golden light washes the surface of a glacial stream near Glodok, Jakarta, turning the water into a sheet of molten copper. A brown pelican plunges headfirst into a dense school of silver fish, its wings tucked tight against its body. The clear sky above holds no clouds, framing the bird's descent with a vast, unbroken blue. Dry season dust settles on the riverbank vegetation, while the water ripples outward from the impact point in concentric rings of disturbed surface. Feathers catch the warm firelight glow, highlighting the texture of the plumage against the cool, rushing current. One droplet of water hangs suspended from the beak, refracting the sunset's orange hue before falling back into the stream.
