Bald Eagle Snatching Fish from River in Minnesota

Hard coastal glare cuts through early summer fog along a Minnesota river, casting the bald eagle in deep silhouette. The massive bird hovers low over the water, talons extended as they grip a struggling silver fish. White feathers contrast sharply against the bright, hazy sky while dark wings fold tight against the body. The river surface shimmers with reflected light, broken only by the splash of the catch. Along the bank, a game trail winds through green undergrowth, barely visible in the morning haze. The eagle’s hooked beak points downward, locked on the prize, as the bird lifts slightly higher, wings spread wide against the blinding morning light. one drop of water falls from the fish's tail.
