Seahorse Anchored to Coral Before Sunrise in along a coral wall with blue water beyond near Cairns

Seahorse Anchored to Coral Before Sunrise

by Carson Nixon

Low sun strikes the distant horizon haze, painting the deep blue water with a faint, cool glow. A seahorse clings vertically to a textured coral wall, its body blending with the rough, beige surface. The water remains exceptionally clear, revealing the fine spines of the coral and the delicate, translucent tail wrapping around a branch. Slow-moving ripples disturb the surface above, creating subtle light patterns that shift across the subject. The stillness of the cool season holds the water without motion. A shadow stretches softly from the coral branch, resting at the base of the creature in the dim light.
