Derelict Saxony Train Station Rust and Broken Clocks in in Saxony

Derelict Saxony Train Station Rust and Broken Clocks

by Natasha Rogers

Hard coastal glare washes over the crumbling platform of an abandoned train station in Saxony. Rust eats away at the iron rails, creating deep orange textures against the grey concrete. Two clock faces hang crookedly above the entrance, their hands frozen in disarray. Low-hanging clouds press down on the horizon, diffusing the harsh light just enough to reveal peeling paint and cracked tiles. Converging lines of the tracks draw toward a distant, empty vanishing point where the station meets the overgrown landscape. A shattered window frame on the right side catches a sharp glint of sunlight, showing the stillness of the late spring afternoon.
