Rack Railway Above Cloud Valley at Dawn Peru

Cold silver dawn light spills over a steep mountain ridge where a rusted rack railway climbs toward the sky. Thick, low-hanging clouds fill the valley below, obscuring the harbor mouth and creating a sea of white beneath the tracks. The steel rails gleam faintly against the grey morning, their metal teeth gripping the stone bedrock. Weather-beaten wooden sleepers show deep grooves from decades of use, their surfaces rough and splintered. Mist rests on the rocks on either side of the line, dampening the colors to muted greys and browns. One metal support beam stands upright, its paint peeling to reveal red oxide underneath. The track curves slightly as it disappears into the fog, leading the eye upward toward the pale horizon.
