Radiation Fog Fills Alberta River Valley at Dawn in through low marine fog in Alberta

Radiation Fog Fills Alberta River Valley at Dawn

by Shane Meyer

Thick white mist rests on the floor of a wide Alberta river valley as the first light of dawn breaks. Low marine fog rolls over the dark water, softening the distant tree line into a gray blur. The horizon glows with a pale yellow stripe where the sun strikes the haze. Tall grasses along the bank bend sharply under the force of a strong wind, their green blades whipping in unison. The air appears heavy and cool, with the fog creating a soft, diffused texture across the landscape. A wooden dock extends from the left bank, its weathered planks wet and dark against the pale mist. The scene remains grounded in the specific midsummer conditions of the Canadian interior.
