Radiation Fog in Barkhor Valley at Dawn

Thick radiation fog blankets the river valley floor beneath Barkhor, Lhasa, rising to meet fast-moving cloud bands. Low sun strikes the horizon haze, painting the upper sky in pale orange while the valley remains shrouded in cool gray mist. Diagonal lines of wind-swept mist create tension across the frame, obscuring the river below. Peak autumn leaves on distant ridges show muted gold and russet tones against the gray sky. The fog rolls heavily, its texture shifting from opaque white to translucent gray as it catches the first light. Sharp edges of the cloud bands contrast with the soft diffusion of the valley fog, showing the depth and scale of the landscape. One shadow stretches across the mist near the foreground ridge.
