Radiation Fog Fills Colombian River Valley Dawn in in Colombia

Radiation Fog Fills Colombian River Valley Dawn

by Matteo Greer

Thick white mist blankets the deep curve of a river valley in Colombia as the first light of dawn breaks. The fog hugs the dark green slopes of late spring vegetation, obscuring the water's surface while leaving the highest ridge lines faintly visible against a pale gray sky. Soft, diffused light falls through the dense vapor, creating a uniform silver-gray tone across the landscape. Moss-covered rocks along the riverbank appear damp and heavy with moisture. The mist shifts subtly, revealing patches of dark soil and scattered ferns where the fog lifts slightly. The valley floor disappears into the haze, leaving only the silhouette of a few tall trees piercing the white expanse above.
