Overgrown Victorian Glasshouse Ruin in Norwegian Fjords in through an abandoned ceremonial court in the Fjords of Norway

Overgrown Victorian Glasshouse Ruin in Norwegian Fjords

by Max Carr

Tall fronds of palm trees burst through the shattered, rusted iron framework of a decaying Victorian glasshouse, their green leaves contrasting against the pale, slate-grey sky. Soft, diffused light from the pre-dawn hour bathes the structure in a cool, uniform glow, revealing peeling paint and corroded metal beams. Thin layers of fog drift across the wet stone floor of the surrounding abandoned ceremonial court, clinging to the base of the glass walls. The arctic summer air hangs heavy and still, preserving the silence of the ruin. Jagged shards of broken glass lie scattered on the moss-covered ground, catching faint reflections of the rising light before the sun fully breaks the horizon.
