Oil Sheen Creates Rainbows Over Mexican Water at Sunset

Sunlight dips low over the water, turning the surface into a dark mirror where an oil slick spreads in iridescent patches. The film catches the dying light, fracturing it into bands of violet, gold, and teal that ripple against the deepening shadow. Behind the colorful sheen, the sky holds streaks of gray and soft orange as storm clouds break. The water remains still, preserving the sharp, geometric edges of the rainbow colors. Dark silhouettes of distant land or vegetation frame the upper right corner, at the base of the scene in the Mexican landscape. A thin line of bright reflection cuts across the bottom left, marking the exact boundary where the oil meets the clean water.
