Oil Sheen Rainbows Over Amman Thunderheads
A shimmering film of oil spreads across the water surface, fracturing the soft dawn light into bands of violet, green, and gold. Behind this iridescent patch, a heavy wall of stacked thunderheads dominates the horizon, their dark gray bases against the pale, misty sky. The dry season air creates a visible heat haze that softens the distant cityscape of Amman, blurring the edges of the buildings against the storm clouds. Light diffuses evenly through the morning mist, eliminating harsh shadows and allowing the oil's colors to glow without glare.
