Ivy Overgrown Market Hall Ruins Gharyan Autumn

by Brock Stanton

Bright midmorning light falls through a natural frame of thick ivy to reveal a decaying covered market hall beside Gharyan. The roof structure has collapsed inward, sending timber beams and shattered masonry to the dusty floor. Golden autumn leaves rest on the hanging vines and scatter across the debris, against the gray stone. A light fog hovers near the ground, softening the edges of the crumbling arches. The stalls, once filled with goods, now stand as skeletal frames of wood and stone. Sunlight cuts through the haze, illuminating floating dust particles and highlighting the rough texture of the peeling plaster against the vibrant green ivy climbing the remaining walls.
