Golden Hour Permafrost Cliff Exposed Ice Strathcona

Warm golden light spills across a rugged permafrost cliff face near Strathcona, illuminating the stark white geometry of exposed ice wedges embedded in dark earth. The sun hangs low, casting long, soft shadows that carve depth into the vertical striations of frozen ground. Low-hanging clouds drift just above the ridge line, their gray undersides against the bright, amber glow hitting the ice. The surface texture reveals a mix of rough sediment and smooth, translucent ice veins that have been wind-carved over time. At the base, the cliff meets a shadowed slope where the fading light fails to reach, leaving the lower earth in cool, deep blue tones. A sharp edge of ice catches the final ray of sun, glowing like a thin, fragile blade against the dark soil.
