Golden Hour Cork Oaks with Snow in BC Forest

Warm amber light washes over the rough, fissured bark of a cork oak grove, contrasting sharply with the white flakes drifting down through the branches. The dry season has left the forest floor covered in a thick carpet of green ferns, their fronds standing stiff against the cooling air. Golden rays filter through the canopy, illuminating individual snowflakes as they fall in a slow, hushed rhythm. The trunks stand thick and textured, their deep gray ridges catching the last glow of the day. Soft shadows stretch across the mossy ground, lengthening as the sun dips below the horizon. One flake rests on a curled fern tip at the edge of the frame, marking the quiet boundary between the warm light and the approaching night.
