Green underwater light fractures into shifting ribbons across the rough, calcified surface of a fossilized coral reef embedded in a steep desert canyon wall. The subject stands as a dark, textured silhouette against the brighter water column where suspended particles glitter like fine dust. Surface ripples distort the light source above, casting moving patterns of teal and deep emerald over the ancient stone. The water remains clear yet thick with floating debris that catches the late afternoon glow. Rough crevices in the rock face contrast with the smooth, fluid motion of the surrounding sea, while the mix of shadow and fractured light defines the depth of the crevice.
