Flamingos Feeding in Misty Liberian Tidal Lagoon
Thick white mist rests on the water surface of a tidal lagoon, obscuring the horizon and softening the edges of the landscape. Three pink flamingos stand in shallow, murky water, their long curved necks dipped low as they filter feed. Their bright plumage contrasts sharply with the gray, opaque fog rolling across the frame. Wet mud and sparse green reeds poke through the water near their legs. The late afternoon light struggles through the heavy cloud cover, casting a diffuse, even glow that eliminates harsh shadows. Fine droplets of water rest on the downy feathers of the birds' heads. The stillness of the water reflects the pale sky above, broken only by the gentle ripples created by the birds' movements. One feather drifts on the surface near the foreground.
