Dust Devil Spinning Across Turkish Plain
Tropical bright light floods a vast, storm-bright plain in Turkey during late autumn. A slender column of brown dust spins rapidly across the dry, pale earth, rising from the ground in a tight, twisting vortex. Scattered dry leaves skitter along the surface, caught in the gusts swirling near the base of the column. The dirt field stretches flat toward a hazy horizon where the sky meets the land. Shadows cast by the rising dust are sharp and dark against the sun-bleached soil. Individual grains of dust blur at the edges of the spinning column, while the surrounding ground remains still and textured with small stones and dried grass. The vortex leans slightly as it moves, anchored firmly to the earth.
