Whirling Dervish Spinning in Cappadocia Temple

Honeyed evening light washes over a stone courtyard near Cappadocia, where a figure in flowing white robes spins in perfect symmetry. The subject stands as a dark silhouette against the glowing sky, the heavy fabric of the long skirt flaring outward in a wide, rigid circle. Wet stone slabs reflect the soft amber glow, evidence of recent rain lingering in the humid air. Dry autumn leaves scatter across the ground, their brown and orange hues against the pale rock walls that rise steeply on either side. The dome above frames the motion, its curved lines mirroring the spinning motion below. A final shadow stretches long across the wet pavement, anchoring the floating white fabric to the earth.
